Kashmir is safe for traveler's ?

When anyone makes a plan to visit Kashmir, the first question comes in their mind is- Is Kashmir safe for tourists? Kashmir is called as heaven on Earth but people usually don’t visit there because of some rumors and media news. In this article, Kashmir means Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam all. After my 5 days of the trip to Kashmir and talked with lots of tourists, Now I am giving my suggestion about safety issues of Kashmir and local people of Kashmir.

What The Real Issue of Kashmir Safety?

There are some bad people in Kashmir who makes it little unsafe but they don’t harm to tourists or any kind of traveler. They only harm army men. There is nothing to worry if you are a traveler in Kashmir.

Yes, I am from Switzerland, and I have spent a lot of time in the mountains. But I never knew how much they mean to me until I left my own country. This, I have come to realize after living one month in Belarus, one of the flattest nations on earth. But standing on a high elevation, overlooking the landscape, gazing into the distance, is just a magical feeling. Especially if the ground is made of solid rock and formed over millions of years ago.

Most of the time, we don’t really value the soil we are standing on, nor do we understand how it came to be. I was just living half a year in India, never wasting a single thought about the Indian tectonic plate and its relationship with Asia. But when I recently stood on top of mount Apharwat at nearly 4,400 meters, ready to slide down on a thin board, I started contemplating the whole world…

Why you should visit Kashmir once in a life?

Places and people are best known only after you visit or interact with them yourself.

After a tiresome road journey to Kashmir, you do not reach Kashmir. You straight land up in heaven, a place from your dreams, amongst people who will only know the language of love. You will know that too by the end of this blog post.

From Delhi, after an overnight journey in a sleeper bus, Jammu was our next stop. From here after bargain and discussions, we booked a shared cab which took us to Srinagar.

Life around Dal Lake, Srinagar, Kashmir

It was 9 pm in the night and we reached the Dal Lake. The water was shimmering with all the glittery lights from the houseboats scattered all over the surface of Dal and my itch to see its beauty in broad daylight was increasing with a drop in temperature in the season of late October.

Is it safe to travel solo to Kashmir?

I have never been anywhere in the world as beautiful as Kashmir

I have been to Kashmir twice. The first one was a solo adventure on my 25^th birthday where I drove through the beautiful valleys of Pahalgam and commenced on a trek to the beautiful Tarsar Marsar lake. On my second visit, I was accompanied by other travel bloggers for a three days tour where we spend a day respectively in Srinagar, Pahalgam and Gulmarg.
